Project overview We transformed Biju Pattnaik Park in Cuttack into a flagship urban oasis. Our scope covered the full beautification package with a major focus on comprehensive electrical infrastructure — from conceptual design through to commissioning — delivered with precision and uncompromising quality.

Key highlights

• Full underground electrical backbone: Installed a robust, future-proof network of underground cabling and conduits that serves lighting, irrigation controls, audio-visual systems, security cameras, and public amenities. All trenches, ducts, and manholes were precisely engineered to municipal standards and to minimize surface disruption.

• Landmark lighting design: Integrated architectural, landscape and accent lighting to showcase pathways, sculptures, trees and water features. The scheme blends high-efficiency LED fixtures, tunable color temperatures and dynamic scene-setting controls to create safe, inviting spaces from dawn to night.

• Smart control systems: Deployed centralized control panels and a programmable automation system for lighting schedules, dimming, fault detection and remote monitoring. This enables energy optimization, rapid diagnostics and seamless operation for park management.

• Power distribution and resilience: Built dedicated transformer pads, distribution boards and protected circuits with surge protection and isolation switches to ensure uninterrupted service and safety during peak events and seasonal monsoons.

• Safety and compliance: All electrical installations met or exceeded statutory safety codes. We implemented earthing systems, residual current devices, cable segregation for power/communication, and clear labeling for easy maintenance.

• Integration with park amenities: Electrification for fountains, interactive play elements, seating with USB charging, CCTV, PA systems and maintenance sheds was executed with neat, concealed routing to preserve aesthetics while ensuring high functionality.

• Minimal disruption civil works: Executed critical underground work with careful traffic and pedestrian management, reinstating surfaces to pristine condition. Landscaping, paving and surface finishes were restored seamlessly after installations.

• Quality assurance and testing: Comprehensive pre-commissioning tests, load trials, thermographic inspections and third-party verifications ensured every circuit and control system performed to specification.

• Sustainable choices: Prioritized energy-efficient fixtures, low-loss cabling, and provisions for future solar integration to reduce operational carbon footprint and lifecycle costs.

Outcome The project delivered a dramatic uplift in the park’s visual identity, safety and usability.
